Pascal Lamy, President emeritus of the Jacques Delors Institute, intervenes for a roundtable on the economic future and ambition of the EU. This event is organised by the Hauts-de-Seine branch of the political party "La République en Marche".

While the world economic and trade system is growingly put under strain and trade tensions are increasing between the United States, China and the European Union, the Hauts-de-Seine branch of République en Marche has invited decision-makers to share their thoughts on these issues and on the capacity of the EU to emerge as a world economic leader. This debate gathers together :

  • Pascal Lamy,  President emeritus of the Jacques Delors Institute, former Director-General of the World Trade Organisation and former European Trade Commissionner.
  • Christine Hennion, Member of the French National Assembly, sitting at the European affairs and the Economic affairs commissions.
  • Jacques Maire, Member of the French National Assembly, Vice-president of the Foreign affairs commission
