Cécile Ondoa Abeng

Associate researcher, Transatlantic Relations

A graduate of the École normale supérieure and holder of the agrégation in modern literature, Cécile Ondoa Abeng served for over ten years as a diplomat at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE), after teaching French at Yale University.

At the MEAE, Cécile Ondoa Abeng notably held the positions of adviser at the Policy Planning Staff (Centre for Analysis, Forecasting and Strategy – CAPS), and Deputy Consul General of France / Adviser for Cooperation and Cultural Affairs in Quebec. Between 2020 and 2022, she served as an adviser to French President Emmanuel Macron, with responsibility for the Americas, international foresight, and the Generation Equality Forum. She also served as diplomatic adviser to the Paris Peace Forum.

A specialist in the United States, transatlantic relations, and multilateral and influence-related issues, Cécile Ondoa Abeng currently combines teaching and advisory activities in international relations and geopolitics. She is an associate researcher at the Jacques Delors Institute.
