Isabelle Marchais

Associate researcher, health and demography policies

Isabelle Marchais has been an associate researcher at the Jacques Delors Institute on topics related to health and demographics since March 2020.

A journalist by training, she has covered European news for various publications. She began as a correspondent for the European Union for Dernières Nouvelles d’Alsace (DNA), then joined Libération as deputy EU correspondent. She then worked for around 15 years as European correspondent for Société Générale de Presse, mainly on economic issues, and finally became correspondent for the European Union for L’Opinion.

Isabelle Marchais completed a Khâgne at the Lycée Janson-de-Sailly in Paris. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Paris IV-Sorbonne University, a master’s degree in political science from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, and a master’s degree in economic and social policy from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po). Her working language is French.
