Tomasz Orłowski

Tomasz Orłowski, Ambassador ad personam (ret.), holds degrees from the Universities of Łódź, Mikołaj Kopernik in Toruń, and Poitiers, and is a graduate of the National Defence University.
From 1990 to 2021, he served at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Deputy Director of the Europe, United Nations and Global Affairs Departments, Ambassador, and Chief of Diplomatic Protocol. He was Ambassador of Poland to France and Italy and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Corresponding member of the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences, he is Professor at Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski University in Krakow, holding the Chair in Diplomatic and Consular Relations, and also teaches international relations and diplomacy at Sciences Po, Paris School of International Affairs, University of Warsaw, Warsaw School of Economics, and the College of Europe. He is author of several books and textbooks.
He is a Commander of the French Legion of Honour, Grand Officer of the National Order of Merit, and Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters.
