Yves Pascouau has been a senior associate researcher at the Jacques Delors Institute since May 2015, specializing in migration and asylum. His work focuses on the European Union’s migration strategies and the preservation of the Schengen area. He is the founder and director of European Migration Law, an advisory platform on European migration public policy.
He has been a researcher at the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour and the Free University of Brussels, then Director of Migration Policy at the European Policy Centre (EPC) and holder of the Schengen – Alliance Europa Chair at the University of Nantes. He is also a municipal councilor in Nantes, responsible for delegations on Europe, Migrants, and Travelers.
Yves Pascouau holds a Master’s degree from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, a PhD in European Union law from the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour, and completed post-doctoral studies in asylum and immigration law at the Free University of Brussels. His working languages are French and English.
