Differentiated Integration in the European Union
Valentin Kreilinger, Research assistant at Notre Europe, will participate in the Allianz Alumni Academy in Berlin which is organised by the Allianz Cultural Foundation. He will moderate a panel on Differentiated Integration on 22 September 2012.
The panellists are:
Janis Emmanouilidis, Senior Policy Analyst and Head of Programme at the European Policy Centre (EPC) in Brussels
Roderick Parkes, Head of the EU programme at Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM) in Warsaw
Arnoldas Pranckevicius, Member of the Cabinet of the President of the European Parliament
Three key questions will be at the centre of the discussions:
Can the heterogeneous preferences of the 27 EU Member States still be managed?
How could the EU achieve a higher degree of integration among those EU Member States that are willing?
What modifications to the institutional architecture of the EU might be necessary?
The panel will be moderated by Claire Duvernet (HafenCity University Hamburg) and Valentin Kreilinger (Notre Europe), both participants of the Allianz Summer Academy 2009.
