Brussels, 11 October 2013 – Pros and cons of a European Unemployment Benefit Scheme
Henrik Enderlein, Research Associate and Professor at the Hertie School of Governance of Berlin, co-author of the study “Blueprint for a Cyclical Shock Insurance in the euro area“, intervenes in the debate “Automatic stabilizers at EMU level: What are the main options and their pros and cons?”.
On 11 October 2013, the Bertelsmann Stiftung in collaboration with the European Commission will organize a conference on the pros and cons of a European Unemployment Benefit Scheme which could serve as an automatic stabilizer in the Eurozone.
The conference participation is on invitation only will bring together policy makers and experts from Europe and the U.S. Key speakers will be, amongst others:
