Brussels, 24 May 2019 – Research and Innovation as a compass for the future we want
The Jacques Delors Institute organises, in collaboration with the Directorate General for Research & Innovation, a high-level seminar on the definition of a new European strategy on Research and Innovation
This high-level seminar, jointly organised by the Jacques Delors Institute and the Directorate General of Reasearch & Innovation, will lay out the main components of the newt European strategy for Research & Innovation.
Experts from the Jacques Delors Institute will contribute to the discussions by sharing their expertise on key sectors where Research and Innovation policies are fundamental, like for energy transition policies (Thomas Pellerin-Carlin, Head of the Jacques Delors Energy Center), the development of the digital economy (Paul-Jasper Dittrich, Research fellow, Jacques Delors Institute – Berlin). R&I policies will also be of crucial importance for the next European Parliament legislature, considering especially the institutionnal and political shocks that are likely to happen (Genevieve Pons, Director of the Jacques Delors Institute office in Brussels).
Pascal Lamy, President emeritus of the Jacques Delors Institute, and Jean-Eric Paquet, Director-General for Research & Innovation, will conclude the seminar with an exchange on the future of the European Research Strategy.
