The renewal of the European hemicycle is approaching. It looks very different from the previous ones as it occurs in a heavy and uncertain context. Uncertainties in the European Union, with the unprecedented event of Brexit and more broadly with the rise of various forms of nationalism and the weakening of Franco-German couple. External uncertainties also in the face of the deterioration of the transatlantic relationship, Chinese ambitions and the troubled Kremlin game. Should the European project dread its grand democratic meeting with the citizens of May 26?
