Ludwigsfelde, 2 October 2019 – Citizen dialogue and Trilateral Experts seminar on Social Europe

Sofia Fernandes, Senior Research Fellow at the Jacques Delors Institute, in charge of European Economic and Social policies, is invited to contribute to an Experts' Seminar on the Future of Social Europe, organised jointly by the Genshagen Stiftung and the Labour and Social German Minister.

On the 1st and 2nd of October, the Genshagen Stiftung has organised in cooperation with the Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Soziales (BMAS), a citizen dialogue and a Trilateral Experts seminar on Social Europe

Sofia Fernandes, Senior Research Fellow at the Jacques Delors Institute, in charge of European Economic and Social policies, has been invited to react to Citizens’ proposals and to develop ideas from them. To do so, she has been invited at a franco-germano-polish roundtable, composed of representatives from the Labour and Social German Minister the European Commission, trade unions and Research Fellow and organised to prepare the German Presidency of the European Council, on the second semester, 2020.

The European Pillar of Social Rights, the issue of solidarity mechanisms between Member States despite diverging economic and social conditions, European perspectives in terms of labour, economic, fiscal and education policies and climat issues were at the heart of the discussions.
