Sofia Fernandes, Senior Research Fellow at the Jacques Delors Institute, in charge of European Economic and Social policies, has been invited to react to Citizens’ proposals and to develop ideas from them. To do so, she has been invited at a franco-germano-polish roundtable, composed of representatives from the Labour and Social German Minister the European Commission, trade unions and Research Fellow and organised to prepare the German Presidency of the European Council, on the second semester, 2020.
The European Pillar of Social Rights, the issue of solidarity mechanisms between Member States despite diverging economic and social conditions, European perspectives in terms of labour, economic, fiscal and education policies and climat issues were at the heart of the discussions.
If want to learn more on these issues, we invite to read the Jacques Delors Institute Policy Paper, “Objective 2024: Better Living and Working Conditions for all Europeans” (Sofia Fernandes, 02/09/2019)
