In the framework of the European Year of Citizens, the Maison de
l’Europe de Rennes organised the second edition of the seminar “Terrains
d’Europe” in partnership with the European Movement Ille-et-Vilaine, the Jeunes Européens-Rennes and the European Association of Education on Saturday, 16 February from 9am to 5pm at the Espace Ouest-France.
Citizenship, European election, emerging a European civil society were the topic during this day.

Presentation of the strengthened role of the European Parliament since the Lisbon Treaty, role and function of MEPs, the subjects of the next European elections, working axes to inform and motivate the citizens about the importance to go voting (debats, public hearings of the candidates, electoral cards, registration on voters’ lists)
