As Czech citizens prepare to vote in parliamentary elections on 8 and 9 October, the future of current Prime Minister Andrej Babiš and his ANO 2011 party, which has been in power since 2013, remains uncertain.

Lukas Macek, Associate Researcher for Central and Eastern Europe at the Jacques Delors Institute and Director of the Sciences Po campus in Dijon, will analyse this election for us and attempt to gauge the extent to which a new government coalition could impact the European policy of the Czech Republic, which will succeed France as President of the Council of the European Union in 2022.
