[FR] Euroquestions #64 | Review of the State of the Union Address

Every September, the President of the European Commission delivers her State of the Union address in Strasbourg, an annual event that sets out the challenges for the coming months. Since 2010, the aim has been twofold: to take stock of the past year for the European executive and to outline the main prospects for the year ahead.
How can the implementation of the European Green Deal be continued as it becomes more politically contested? What support should be given to Ukraine as the war drags on? How can institutions and citizens be prepared for future enlargements? How can recurring challenges such as migration and energy be addressed? Finally, more broadly, how should the von der Leyen Commission’s mandate be assessed a few months before the European elections?
We are delighted to welcome Enrico Letta, President of the Jacques Delors Institute, to this Euroquestions event for the start of the 2023 academic year, moderated by Lara Martelli.
