[FR] Euroquestions #80 | The European elections beyond the French issues

In 2019, citizen participation in European elections increased by more than 7% compared to 2014 (13% for young people under 25). The environment was a major theme in the campaign. What will happen in 2024? What will the turnout be? What will European voters prioritise when making their choice? Could the international context (war in Ukraine, Israel-Palestine conflict, tensions in Iran, Sino-American rivalry) have an impact on the election? What about the issues of migration and purchasing power, which are very much on the agenda in France? What consequences will the predictable rise of populist and far-right parties have on the balance of power in Europe and its institutions?
We are pleased to welcome Christine Verger, Vice-President of the Jacques Delors Institute, for this final edition before the European elections on 9 June.
