Jacques Delors Conference 2022 : Promise of Europe

The Jacques Delors Conference is the flagship annual event of the Notre Europe Academy. It has two objectives. Firstly, to open up a space for dialogue between European figures and young people so that the latter can express their expectations regarding the European project, which the war in Ukraine has led to a rethinking. Secondly, it aims to give young people a better understanding of the European Union and its policies, particularly the opportunities it offers them in terms of mobility, training and civic engagement, which are seen as a promise of a more inclusive and united Europe. The second edition of the Jacques Delors Conference will be held on 28 June at the Cinémathèque française in Paris.

The event will be divided into three parts:

  • From 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.: Debates and speeches by European personalities, with guest of honour Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament. This edition will be an opportunity to discuss democracy as a value and peace as a common good.

  • From 2pm to 4pm: Educational stands and interactive workshops will be run by European associations and organisations. Participants will be able to discover the mobility and training opportunities available to them. This year, we will be welcoming the Erasmus+ Agencies, the Eures Network and the EuroAppMobility organisation, who will be available to talk to young people.
  • From 4pm to 6pm: The screening of the film Olga, directed by Elie Grappe, will close the day.
