For this webinar, we will be joined by Thierry Chopin, Professor at the Lille School of Political Science (ESPOL) and Special Advisor at the Jacques Delors Institute, Bruno Cautrès, CNRS Research Fellow, and Emmanuel Rivière, Managing Director of the Kantar Centre on the Future of Europe.

They will present their report ‘The French and Europe between mistrust and ambivalence’ (https://institutdelors.eu/publication…) published on 6 May 2020.

In this report, our speakers note that France is one of the countries whose inhabitants are least favourable towards the EU. However, although the French attitude towards Europe is marked by gloom and mistrust, we should not jump to conclusions about widespread and unqualified Euroscepticism among the French.

The aim of their work is to analyse in detail the complexity of the French attitude towards the EU.
