London, 16 October 2013 – Report Launch, Oxford Martin Commission for Future Generations
Our honoray president Pascal Lamy presents the final report of the Oxford Martin Commission for Future Generations that he chaired. The launch event takes place in London, on 16th October
The Oxford Martin Commission for Future Generations, launched in September 2012, has sought to address the growing short-term preoccupations of modern politics, and identify ways to overcome todays impasse in key economic, climate, trade, security, and other negotiations. Chaired by Pascal Lamy, the former Director-General of the World Trade Organization, the Commission has convened international leaders from government, business and civil society to examine the gridlock in international and national attempts to deal with key global problems.
The final report will be published on 16 October. Pascal Lamy and Professor Ian Goldin, Director of the Oxford Martin School, will be joined by Commissioners Dr Roland Berger, Dr Mo Ibrahim, Julia Marton-Lefèvre, Lord Rees, and Lord Stern for a wide-ranging discussion of the reports findings and its implications for policy-makers, business, and civil society.
The launch will take place from 10.30am (with official proceedings commencing promptly at 11am) on 16 October at the Institution of Civil Engineers, One Great George Street, London SW1P 3AA.
Registration is now open. Places are limited, so please book early to join in the discussion.
