Valentin Kreilinger, Research Fellow Politics and Institutions, speaks on “Decision making in the

European Union and the role of civil society organisations” at this

joint session of the “I am Europe” project, an expedition

into the heart of the concept of European Citizenship, which is

organised by the Evens Foundation.

Notre Europe – Jacques Delors Institute is a partner of the project.

The

project aims to enrich the general public debate on European

Citizenship and hopes to put forward innovative models of citizen

participation that can be applied at the EU level. Its idea is that

citizens who are already strongly engaged at local level can be the

motor of change within the EU.

The project is co-funded by the Evens Foundation and Europe for Citizens

Programme of the European Union, with the support of the Hippocrene Foundation.
