Paris, 25 November 2014 – Debate with Herman Van Rompuy
Notre Europe Jacques Delors Institute and the Sciences Po Center for European Studies are welcoming Herman VAN ROMPUY, for a conference-debate on his presidency of the European Council and the major challenges of the European Union.
At the time when the European Unions institutions are being renewed, Notre Europe Jacques Delors Institute and the Sciences Po Center for European Studies are honored to welcome Herman VAN ROMPUY, for a conference-debate, in French, on his five years at the Presidency of the European Council and the major challenges of the European Union.
Financial, economic and social crises, energy and climate changes, instability in the South and the East, the implementation of the Lisbon Treaty, and rising euroscepticism and europhobia: just a few European issues on which Herman VAN ROMPUY will offer his global point of view, a few days prior to the end of his mandate.
Herman VAN ROMPUY will also tackle on the evolution of the relationship between France and the European Union, before answering the questions asked by the public.
This debate will be introduced by Jacques DELORS, President of the European Commission between 1985 and 1995, and Honorary president of Notre Europe Jacques Delors Institute.
