[FR] Assumed membership, reserved membership: changes in public opinion on the European Union – from the crisis to the present day

With just a few months to go before the election of the next European Parliament and the renewal of the EU executive, the Jacques Delors Institute is conducting its regular review of public opinion in the Member States with regard to the European Union. It traces developments since early 2007, before the onset of the financial and economic crisis.
Daniel Debomy, associate researcher at the Jacques Delors Institute and founder of OPTEM and the European Qualitative Network, draws on the results of the European Commission’s Standard Eurobarometer surveys, the European Parliament’s Parlemeter, various qualitative studies conducted over several decades, and a recent survey by the Bertelsmann Foundation to shed light on the significance of the figures.
