[FR] Our Europe tomorrow

When it was founded in 1996 by Jacques Delors, Notre Europe set itself a simple yet ambitious goal: to ‘think about European unity’. What a wonderful opportunity, then, to celebrate its tenth anniversary alongside the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, which, shortly after the ECSC, laid the foundations for the European Community. It is an opportunity to take stock: what are we proud of, what disappointments have we experienced, and what lessons can we learn from these 50 years of European integration? It is an opportunity to look to the future at a time in European history that seems more uncertain than ever: what objectives, what projects, what policies and what institutions can we imagine and build for the Europe of tomorrow? To discuss all this, Notre Europe wanted to bring together a dozen European personalities at a major conference entitled ‘Our Europe Tomorrow’, organised at the Senate in partnership with the Nouvel Observateur-Challenges Group.
