[FR] Social Europe, history and current situation

There has been much discussion in recent months about social Europe, particularly in the context of the Renault-Vilvorde affair, and confusion has sometimes arisen as to the meaning of this expression. That is why the association ‘Notre Europe’ has decided to shed some light on this topical debate by presenting a historical overview and an assessment of the current situation in social Europe. This document, prepared by Jean-Louis Arnaud, does not contain any new proposals at this stage, but is intended solely as a basis for future discussions. It includes an appendix on the main stages of social dialogue, based on work carried out by Mr Savoini, Professor at the University Institute of Florence.
