European leaders and social partners will gather in Gothenburg on 17 November 2017 for a “social summit for fair jobs and growth”. This meeting will furnish the occasion for the proclamation on a “European Pillar of Social Rights”.
European leaders and social partners will gather in Gothenburg on 17 November 2017 for a “social summit for fair jobs and growth”. This meeting, attended by the heads of state, like Emmanuel Macron, or government of the EU countries, will furnish the occasion for a joint proclamation by the Presidents of the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Council of the EU on a “European Pillar of Social Rights”.
In this tribune, Sofia Fernandes, senior research fellow at the Jacques Delors Institute, presents the set of rights included in the EPSR, and pointed out that the impetus of the Commission is necessary but not sufficient.
