Dimitris Katsikas

Dimitrios Katsikas studied Business Administration at the Athens University of Economics and Business, and then went on to study for two Master degrees (M.Sc.) in finance and international political economy, at the London School of Economics. Following his postgraduate studies he worked as Management Associate at the Corporate Banking Department of a multinational bank in Greece. Subsequently he returned to the London School of Economics where he received his Ph.D. studying transnational regulatory authority in global economic governance. Upon his return to Greece he was elected Lecturer of International and European Political Economy at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Athens. Subsequently he was “Stavros Costopoulos” Research Fellow at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP). He has taught graduate and postgraduate courses at the London School of Economics and at the University of Athens. He has presented his work in various international conferences and seminars and has published a number of articles in major international academic journals. His research focuses on international and European political economy, international and European monetary, financial and economic governance, and the role of non-state actors in global economic governance. In recent years the Greek crisis has become one of his major research interests.
