Research Associate at the Belgian National Fund for Scientific Research (FNRS) and Senior Associate Fellow at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS), Eric Philippart teaches at the Political Science Department of the Université Libre de Bruxelles. He is also visiting professor at the College of Europe (Bruges) where he gives the seminar on evaluation methods applying to EU policies. He is the author or co-author of several books and reports on EU external relations and new modes of governance. On the latter topic, he has participated in research projects conducted by the University of Cambridge, the European Commission, the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (Berlin) and the Netherlands Scientific Council for Public Policy (WRR, Den Haag). He is currently rapporteur general of the study initiated by the Commissariat Général du Plan (Paris) on various forms of co-operation among EU Member States (mission Coopérations renforcées), as well as member of the task forces et up by the CGP on European co-operation in the fields of police & justice and chaired by G. Canivet.
