Gaëlle Marti is Professor of Public Law at the University of Lyon 3, where she has been Director of the Centre for European Studies and of the Master in European Human Rights Law since 2020. She specializes in European affairs and the EU institutions, and she has held the Jean Monnet Chair on the “promotion and preservation of EU values” since 2022. In 2023, she published Les grandes notions du droit de l’Union européenne (Presses Universitaires de France). She was also a member of the Franco-German group of experts on the revision of the EU and, as such, co-authored the report “Sailing on High Seas – Reforming and Enlarging the EU for the 21st Century”, which was presented to the General Affairs Council of the European Union in September 2023.
