Roberta Metsola

President of the European Parliament

Roberta Metsola, full name Roberta Metsola Tedesco Triccas, born 18 January 1979 in San Ġiljan, is a Maltese politician, member of the Nationalist Party and MEP since 2013. On 18 January 2022, she was elected President of the European Parliament. She thus succeeds David Sassoli and becomes the third woman to hold the office.
