Since September 2022, Sacha Courtial has served as the personal assistant to Pascal Lamy, supporting the coordination of the three Jacques Delors Institutes (Paris, Berlin, and Brussels). In January 2023, he joined the Institute’s EU–China Working Group, contributing to strategic dialogues on economic and geopolitical relations between the European Union and China.
Alongside his work at the Jacques Delors Institute, Sacha sits on the Executive Board of Volt France, the French branch of the pan-European political movement Volt Europa, and is a Fellow of the OpenDiplomacy Institute.
Prior to joining the Institute, he gained experience through internships focused on renewable energy, policy development at the French National Assembly, and environmental protection in Beijing. He also worked on budgetary matters in the office of MEP Valérie Hayer at the European Parliament.
Sacha holds a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics, specializing in economic governance in Europe and China. His dissertation examined the European Union’s multiannual financial framework. His working languages are French, English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese.
