Pierre Jaillet

Advisor, Economic and monetary policy

Pierre Jaillet is an economist, research associate at the Institute for International and Strategic Relations (IRIS) and advisor at the Jacques Delors Institute – Notre Europe, as well as professor at IRIS sup.

After holding positions at INSEE, the European Commission, and the International Monetary Fund, he was appointed Director General of Economics and International Affairs at the Banque de France, responsible for research and monitoring international bodies (IMF, G7, G20). He was a member of the Monetary Policy Committee and the International Relations Committee of the ECB, special advisor to the governor and chief representative of the BdF for the Americas in New York.

A graduate of Sciences Po, with a DEA in Economics and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Pierre Jaillet has taught at ENA, ESCP-Europe and ENSAE. He is the author and editor of numerous publications on monetary, economic, and international issues, a member of the Société d’économie politique, the Association française de sciences économiques, and the editorial board of the Revue d’économie financière. He is a Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur.
