03:00 pm [FR] Euroquestions #24 | Migration and Asylum Pact: what progress can be made?

One year after the Commission proposed a new Pact on Migration and Asylum, and three months before France takes over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, what is the status of the negotiations among the 27 Member States on European management of migration flows? Will the French Presidency be able to move forward with the main texts of this much-criticised Pact?
We will welcome Jérôme Vignon, advisor on migration issues at the Jacques Delors Institute, who heads our working group on these issues.
His presentation will focus on the obstacles still facing the negotiations and the progress that France could promote during a presidency marked by the uncertainty created by the upcoming presidential election.
