Brief
The proposals of the main European political families on the major themes of the European election campaign
This analysis of the documents published by the parties (which do not cover all European issues) is the third in a series of briefs by the Jacques Delors Institute. It will be followed, before the month of May, by a document on developments at the European Parliament, then by an outline of a possible programme for the next parliamentary term which would be likely to garner support from a stable majority within the European Parliament.

Christine Verger, Adviser in charge of the relation with Parliaments at the Jacques Delors Institute, describe the eleven themes identified in the previous note “The campaign for the European elections: themes and divides” The positions expressed in the documents adopted at the various congresses and meetings held so far for this purpose by five European political parties representing 79.89% of the seats in the European Parliament elected in 2014.
