Marjorie Jouen

Advisor structural and cohesion policies

Marjorie Jouen holds a degree in political science (1979) and is a former student of ENA (National School of Administration, 1989).

She has held various positions as a senior civil servant in the French Ministry of Finance and in European institutions: high-level expert at the General Commission for Territorial Equality (CGET) since 2013, member of the cabinet of the President of the EU Committee of the Regions (Mercedes Bresso 2010-2012 and Michel Delebarre 2006-2008), member of the European Commission’s Forward Studies Unit (1993-1998) responsible for territorial and social issues, head of the European Affairs Department at DATAR (1998-1999), and head of the European Union and Enlargement Office at the Treasury Department (2002-2005). She has been an advisor to the Economic, Social, and Environmental Council of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region since 2023 and a member of the Committee of Experts of the National Audit Authority for European Funds since February 2024.

She has written numerous articles, reports, and several books, including La politique européenne de cohésion (European Cohesion Policy) (2011), Diversité européenne, mode d’emploi (European Diversity: A User’s Guide) (2000), and L’avenir du travail, un débat européen (The Future of Work: A European Debate) (1999).
