Jacques Delors Conference 2023 : The green transition

The Jacques Delors Conference is the flagship annual event of the Notre Europe Academy. It has two objectives. Firstly, to open up a space for dialogue between European figures and young people so that the latter can express their expectations regarding the European project. On the other hand, it aims to give young people a better understanding of the European Union and its policies, particularly in the area of ecological transition, the topical theme we have chosen for this third edition. The event will be divided into three parts:
– From 2pm to 4.30pm: Debates with European personalities aimed at creating a dialogue on the future of Europe. Our guest of honour, Frans Timmermans, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission responsible for the Green Deal, will talk to young people about the ecological challenges ahead, the actions being taken by the European institutions in this area and the role of civil society in driving these changes.
– From 4.30pm to 6.30pm: Educational stands and workshops will be run by European associations and organisations specialising in ecological transition. Participants will be able to discover their initiatives to make our society more responsible, fairer and more sustainable.
– From 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: A theatrical performance entitled ‘En vert et avec tous’ (Green and Together), an original creation by young people from the Académie Notre Europe, directed by Julien Avril.
