Pavel Fischer served as Chief of Political Affairs for Vaclav Havel from 1999 to 2003. He acted as Ambassador to France and Monaco (from 2003 to 2010) before being appointed Director of Political Affairs at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic (2010-2013). After 20 years of dedication to public affairs, he resigned for personal reasons and has since then been committed to activities in civil society, corporate consulting, and training.
Graduate of the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA), musician (violinist and chorister), and father to 4 children, he studied catholic social teaching in Switzerland after the fall of the Berlin Wall. He has been awarded the Légion d’honneur (2010), the Ordre de Saint Charles (2010), and the Ordre de Mérite (2003).
