For the second edition of Euroquestions, the Jacques Delors Institute’s short webinar series, our researchers Andreas Eisl and Eulalia Rubio will analyse the state of play of the negotiations between the European Parliament and the Council aimed at adopting the next Multiannual Financial Framework.

They will discuss the subjects at the heart of the negotiations, such as the budget cuts made by the Council on certain flagship programmes, the EU’s own resources, the rule of law conditionality and the governance of the European Recovery Plan.

Between debt mutualisation and the creation of new own resources, they will share their views on how the EU can provide an effective response to the Covid-19 crisis that addresses future challenges ambitiously and encourages a balance between solidarity and responsibility in the EU.
